Site architecture and publishing approach
- Stack Plain HTML/CSS with a small amount of vanilla JavaScript to list recent essays.
- Design Editorial, text-first layouts with high-contrast typography, restrained color, and lightweight responsive styling.
- Performance No frameworks, no client-side routing, lazy-loaded images, compact CSS, and limited JavaScript.
- Hosting Static files served from a simple web server, compatible with conventional hosting or CDN deployment.
- Content Essays live on Substack; this site links to them and lightly previews recent pieces.
- Images Post thumbnails are pulled from the Substack feed when available, with a logo fallback where needed.
- Accessibility Semantic headings, keyboard-visible focus states, high-contrast text, and reduced reliance on motion or heavy interactive effects.
